Andaman Tourism Ideal Time To Travel To Andaman
The months of October through March are the ideal times to visit the Andaman & Nicobar Islands since the weather is often dry and mild throughout this period. The days are nice and bright, making for a wonderful holiday. Now is the ideal time for swimming, diving, and water sports, or simply lounging on the stunning beaches.
The monsoon season, which runs from July to September, isn’t usually advised since the waves can be erratic and some areas get really strong rains. There are significant delays and even cancellations to the ferry schedule during the monsoon season or on days when it rains a lot. Beaches do not provide water activities, and during the rainy season, visibility in the water decreases if you wish to dive or snorkel.
The summer months of April through June may be very hot and occasionally rain. But while the Andaman Islands are a tropical location, the average daily high is just 37 degrees.

Local transport in Andaman
Ferries are another way to link the islands. Regular ferries are offered from Rangat, Mayabunder, Diglipur, and other locations to popular tourist destinations including Havelock Island and Neil Island.
For inter-island communication, there are both public and private ferries available.
Online reservations are accepted for private ferries, while government tickets may only be purchased at the counters two days before the trip.
Phoenix Bay Jetty is the primary jetty in Port Blair. Government boats from Port Blair to Havelock Island cost around INR 400-600 and take about 4 hours for regular ferries and 2.5 hours for high speed ships. Reservations for these ferries open 4 days in advance. The most convenient ways to get about Port Blair and Havelock Island are via taxi or auto-rickshaw. For about INR 550 every 35 kilometers, you may hire a vehicle with a driver. Additionally, buses travel from Port Blair to Wandoor in the south and to Baratang, Rangat, Mayabunder, and Diglipur in the north.
