Andaman Tourism

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands, nestled around 1,400 kilometers off the east coast of mainland India, are a small piece of heaven complete with beaches with azure blue waters and a hint of history. The capital of this union territory, Port Blair, has many daily ferries connecting it to tourist islands and the rest of the country via a sizable harbor and airport. Travelers love the Havelock and Neil Islands for their superb diving and beautiful sand beaches.

Out of the 572 islands in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, only 37 are inhabited, and some of them are accessible to visitors. Of all the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Havelock Island is one of the biggest and most well-known. Most visitors arrive from Port Blair by plane or ship, staying several nights in the fantastic resorts of Havelock and Neil Islands.

The picturesque Radhanagar Beach is located on Havelock Island’s southern coast, and the blue splendor of Vijayanagar Beach is located on the island’s eastern shore. Neil Island’s three sandy beaches—Bharatpur Beach, Sitapur Beach, and Lakshmanpur Beach—may be its most charming feature.

Andaman Tourism Ideal Time To Travel To Andaman

The months of October through March are the ideal times to visit the Andaman & Nicobar Islands since the weather is often dry and mild throughout this period. The days are nice and bright, making for a wonderful holiday. Now is the ideal time for swimming, diving, and water sports, or simply lounging on the stunning beaches.

The monsoon season, which runs from July to September, isn’t usually advised since the waves can be erratic and some areas get really strong rains. There are significant delays and even cancellations to the ferry schedule during the monsoon season or on days when it rains a lot. Beaches do not provide water activities, and during the rainy season, visibility in the water decreases if you wish to dive or snorkel.

The summer months of April through June may be very hot and occasionally rain. But while the Andaman Islands are a tropical location, the average daily high is just 37 degrees.
