Story

Ananya Nagalla’s character Rekha is an innocent young woman who is constantly surrounded by bad spirits. She worries and becomes scared of them a lot. Teju (Dhanush Radhumudri), on the other hand, has been in love with Rekha since they were young. As this is going on, Rekha and Teju‘s relationship grows. Why is Rekha the target of the bad sports? How come Rekha is drinking her blood? What actions did Rekha take to gain her love? This is the essence of Tantra.

Positive Points in Tantra Movie:

The central idea of the movie is intriguing. Can a female possess magical abilities from birth? What if she’s always surrounded by spirits and demons? How did the individual who conducts unsettling rites get those magical abilities from the main female character? These features pique curiosity at first. A decent presentation is made of elements such as Saloni’s characterization and the emotional horror track about Ananya Nagalla.

Ananya Nagalla, who played the main role, was excellent. The male lead, Dhanush Raghumudri, performed a genuine portrayal that was true to the role. In a crucial part, Saloni excels, and Temper Vamsi is a formidable adversary. Meesala Lakshman and the others perform admirably in their assigned responsibilities.

Negative Points in Tantra Movie:

Ghosts and other supernatural abilities are nothing new in Telugu films. Horror effects have also recently grown dated, and Tantra is another addition to this list. The heroine is the main focus of the screenplay, which lacks a head or tail. It also features far too many subplots. If the subplots had been properly resolved, the main goal of the movie would have succeeded, but it was not.

Technical Aspects:

A compelling screenplay would have made the film‘s emotional substance more effective. Although Srinivas Gopisetty, the director, picked a topic with a lot of potential, the narrative detracts from the picture. RR Dhruvan has composed some excellent tunes. Cinematographers have skillfully caught the natural settings and imagery. The editing is not up to par. The production values are satisfactory.

Verdict:

Tantra is a horror revenge drama that isn’t particularly innovative overall. There are very few good sequences and poignant moments. The main problems of Tantra, however, are things like its slow tempo, numerous subplots, bad writing, and lackluster second-half aspects. Despite the potential of the premise, the film’s presentation left much to be desired.
