Story

Tillu (Siddhu Jonnalagadda) becomes an event organizer after earning a sizable sum of money. While his demeanor and fashion remain unchanged, Tillu develops an initial romantic interest in Lilly (Anupama Parameswaran). As soon as he meets Lilly, he begins to court her, and once more, he ends up in a terrible predicament. The main plot point is how Tillu manages to come out of it.

Positive Points in Tillu Square Movie:

The protagonist’s personality is crucial to movies like DJ Tillu and Tillu Square, so the filmmakers will have a lot of work to do to get this part right. It is quite difficult to reproduce the same charm as Tillu, a character who has resonated with the audience. However, the group completed the task with great success.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Siddhu is the star of the entire event. He is the cornerstone of the Tillu franchise, and watching him will undoubtedly provide the audience with a great deal of entertainment. Siddhu draws our attention right away in the opening scene with his one-liners, humorous gestures, and body language. With his exceptional comic timing, Siddhu has truly excelled.

Since he is the author, Siddhu plays it to the gallery, knowing full well what is expected of him by the audience. The second part is really good and entertaining nonstop. Quirky one-liners and current language evoke hilarity. In her daring part, Anupama Parameswaran does a pretty decent job. She and the hero had a strong chemistry, and like Tillu Square’s predecessor, her character follows the hero around the entire film. Prince Cecil, Muralidhar Goud, and the other supporting actors do a respectable job in their parts.

Minus Points in Tillu Square Movie:

The first section stops exactly where the sequel picks up. However, after a sharp beginning, the first hour is a little slow. There are several jokes throughout the love tune. Some of them land nicely, while some don’t function as planned. There is a little lag in the first half of the story.

Tillu Square and other films like it rely more on characterization than plot, as previously said. Those hoping for a compelling narrative may be a little letdown. Several scenes may cause you to have a sense of deja vu as the plot remains largely unchanged from the first installment. Some aspects of the way they are handled look ridiculous. The screen time of Murali Sharma’s character is reduced.

Technical Aspects

The narrative and the melodies work well together. The songs by Ram Miryala and Achu Rajamani are well done, while Bheems Ceciroleo’s background score fits well with the humorous tone of the movie. This is a passable editing job by Navin Nooli. Sai Prakash’s cinematography is amazing, with vibrant frames.

Plus, the production values are excellent. Regarding the director, Mallik Ram performed a commendable job of entertainingly narrating this well-known plot. Although there are gaps, the team made up for it with funny moments.

Verdict

All in all, Tillu Square is a fun follow-up to DJ Tillu that offers a ton of amusement. The heart and soul of this outrageous performer is Siddhu as Tillu, and he will charm us once more with his hilarious comedic timing, charisma on screen, and mannerisms. The plot is essentially unchanged from the previous part, and there are a few moments that will make us feel like we’ve seen them before. A couple of things don’t seem to fit, and the first half is a little lackluster. However, there is nonstop amusement for most of the second half, and it works very effectively. The film continues despite several flaws because it is entertaining. Fans of DJ Tillu will ultimately enjoy this follow-up as well.
