KAZOKU, a restaurant in Swan Lake Compound, offers unmatched modern Japanese cuisine together with a sophisticated and stylish ambiance to complement its delicious culinary concept! In addition to serving sushi, grilling food, and shared platters, KAZOKU also creates creative drinks. Through Baky Hospitality
What is the idea behind this?
Serving up authentic meals inspired by Japanese culinary tradition, Kazoku, which means “family,” is a restaurant. Established by well-known businessman Ayman Baky, the eatery was designed to seem like “the people.” As implied by the name, the staff is friendly and the décor is cozy.
Sushi supreme:
Chef Mostafa Gabr crafts a variety of delectable main courses, such as grilled sea bass with tomato relish, grilled shrimp with hot pot rice, seaweed butter, and yuzu, and a half chicken Thai red curry flavored with five spices. The Kazoku pyramid uramaki rolls are a fascinating combination of tempura-fried shrimp, carrots, and asparagus. The dessert bento box, which comes with matcha brulé, semifreddo, and chocolate and caramel fondants, is a must-try for anybody with a sweet taste.
The scene:
Kazoku has a modern, elegant decor. The 100-seat eatery is situated near Swan Lake, one of Cairo’s most well-liked precincts. With the Egyptian palms swaying in the breeze, diners can choose to eat indoors or outside.
Who is in charge of it?
Gabr, who joined the Kazoku family in 2015 and just attained the position of Executive Chef, is in charge of Kazoku’s kitchen. Walid Merhi, the beverage director, works with him behind the bar, creating inventive new concoctions and adding his own unique touch to well-known favorites.
A culinary empire:
Kazoku is a part of Baky Hospitality, which also includes the well-known Sachi and Reif Kushiyaki.
