Ashish and Vaishnavi Chaitanya’s film Love Me debuted in theaters today. Arun Bhimavarapu, a rookie director, is behind this romantic thriller. Let’s examine the film.

Story

Arjun is a YouTuber going by Ashish. He consistently seeks solutions to unresolved issues and follows advice from others. Arjun discovers that there is a ghost known as Divyavathi and that everyone who approaches her perishes. In the process of discovering what happened to Divyavathi, Arjun discovers numerous shocks and falls in love with the ghost. This Divyavathi, who is she? What was her fate? In what ways did Prathap (Ravi Krishna) and Priya (Vaishnavi Chaitanya) help Arjun solve the Divyavathi mystery? This is the subject matter of the film.

Positive Points in Love Me Movie:

Ashish’s work has come a long way from his first movie. In a position where he must act subtly, he has demonstrated greater maturity in his portrayal. Ashish has a pleasant appearance in every shot, and he delivers his lines well.

Although the first half of the screenplay isn’t flawless, we are forced to watch because of the central plot point—the hero falling in love with a ghost. The ghost’s past provides an intriguing start to the film. Even though the movie doesn’t pick up after that, the strong visuals and the core idea keep our interest. In his part, Ravi Krishna is fine.

Minus Points in Love Me Movie:

Not every intriguing concept looks well on screen. Although the premise of the hero falling in love with a ghost isn’t developed extensively, it’s presented in an unconvincing way. After the major reveal, in the end, the initial excitement element wanes. When the last secret is revealed, everything appears absurd. The entire movie centers on an artist whose character development is poorly done.

In the second part, one would anticipate an exciting journey, but instead, we are treated to a convoluted story that tries to fit in a lot. There are too many individuals to keep track of when the hero and Vaishnavi Chaitanya begin solving the mystery.

The way Vaishnavi Chaitanya’s character is constructed prevents her from having much opportunity to shine. There are other issues besides the convoluted narrative. The movie has a low emotional score as well. They don’t appear natural, and the emotional bond between the main characters isn’t given enough attention.

Technical Aspects:

Keeravani has a respectable background score. The tunes are mediocre at best. We shouldn’t anticipate much from the music department because the writing is subpar. The illustrations by P.C. Sreeram are excellent, and the artwork is outstanding. The film has amazing images, and the renowned cinematographer deserves recognition for his work. The CG pieces are good enough.

There is too much confusion and poor editing. Although director Arun Bhimavarapu has some intriguing concepts, he is unable to adequately translate them onto the screen. The second half’s events are a complete mess due to the intricate writing, but the first half is passably entertaining.

Verdict:

Overall, Love Me is a ridiculous and unconvincing movie that strives to be a distinct horror thriller but falls short. The intriguing concepts are not presented well, and there are numerous instances in the film where they appear nonsensical. The first half is passably entertaining, and Ashish does a terrific job in the part. However, the second half is entirely unclear due to an abundance of information, and the main twist is disappointing. You may avoid watching this movie.
