God Movie Story:

Police officer Arjun (Jayam Ravi) enforces the law by killing offenders. Andrew (Narain), a close buddy of his, is a police officer as well. Meanwhile, Brahma (Rahul Bose), a psychotic murderer, wreaks havoc by murdering young ladies. While Arjun captures Brahma, Andrew is killed by the maniac. After leaving his job as a police officer, Arjun looks after Andrew’s family. When Brahma breaks free from police custody one day, the population becomes fearful. What takes occur next? Was Brahma apprehended? This is the main topic of the movie.

Plus Points:

In the officer character, Jayam Ravi is just too excellent, and he drives the entire movie. He gives a very ferocious and powerful performance as Arjun. His facial expressions and body language are perfect. Jayam Ravi contributed his experience as he had previously performed in positions comparable to this one.

Ashish Vidyarthi, Vijayalakshmi, and Narain are all excellent in their respective parts. Yuvan Shankar Raja, a talented musician, did his hardest to make his magnificent background score have the most effect possible.

Minus Points:

Since filmmakers are sticking to the same tried-and-true formula in this genre, serial killer-themed movies have begun to lose their allure. God is now a part of the group of films. The criminal thriller Ratsasan has raised the bar, therefore producers need to shake off Ratsasan’s hangover as quickly as possible. It is imperative that filmmakers devise new stories in order to captivate viewers.

These sorts of flicks fall into two groups. Some filmmakers want to identify the murderer right away, while others want to disclose them at the very end. God Movie falls under the first group, and as long as the events are exciting, there is no problem at all.

Technical Aspects:

Both cameraman Hari K. Vedanth and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja gave the movie their all. Both the production quality and the color scheme of the movie are excellent. It’s a decent edit. There’s great Telugu dubbing.

With regard to the director Ahmed, he performed a subpar job. He’s picked a narrative that follows a formula and told it in a dull, uninteresting way. There are no suspenseful moments at all, and the big reveal isn’t really satisfying.

Verdict:

God is an uninteresting criminal thriller with a well-worn plot overall. The film is full of repetitive situations and doesn’t provide anything fresh. Both the police investigative angle and the psychopath’s persona are ill-conceived. Additionally, there is annoyance with both the primary twist and another important character. A dull criminal thriller, Jayam Ravi’s sincere acting and strong technical qualities stand out.
