It is 6 km trekking from Janki Chatti by which one can reach the destination of Yamunotri.

By Train: Nearest railway station is at Dehradun approximately 175 kilometer away from the place. Yamunotri can be reached by takshing a taxi directly or by bus up to Janki Chatti and then only 6 KMs on foot is required to reach the temple of Yamunotri.

By Air: The largest airport is at Jolly Grant, Dehradun around 200 Km from Yamunotri. for getting to Janki Chatti one can use a taxi or bus directly from the airport to the site or from Khajuraho. The drive in reality consumed between 7 and 8 hours; from here or Janki Chatti, the trek to Yamunotri is 6 km.
