Ootacumund, or Ooty, is over twice that height and situated amidst the Nilgiris or the ‘Blue Mountains,’ and has all the visual ingredients of the perfect picture-postcard hill station. Ooty is a place that may be rightfully called the ‘Queen of the Hills’ for quite reasonable reasons: the splendid location of the city amidst of mountains full of fresh green laws and the climate which is moderate throughout the year. Most of the buildings dating back to the colonial period have been renovated over the last decade or so, both in and around the town and it would be rather unrealistic not to acknowledge the splendor of such architectural marvels that form the basis for a stepped up publicity for Ooty as one of the leading tourist spot in the southern part of the Indian peninsula.

Hello, dear friends, and welcome to my ultimate Rishikesh trip guide. I must admit that after three weeks spent in Rishikesh, I became a completely devoted fan.
I was sure that I would like Ganga since I had seen so many beautiful pictures on the Internet before the holiday, especially since it is considered one of the most popular destinations in India for an independent woman’s trip. Of course I was expecting it to be as stunning as I imagined it would be, but I didn’t want to set high expectations because those are the things that disappoint.
