Queen Of Tears After a brief courtship, a young couple finds themselves unable to agree on anything and on the verge of divorcing after three years of marriage. It seems like their relationship might still work when a personal catastrophe arises. Yet there appear to be numerous obstacles in the road.

An heiress of a business conglomerate named Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji Won) meets Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo Hyun), a regular employee of the same company when she goes undercover to work as an intern. Unaware of Hae-in’s true identity, Hyun-woo starts to watch out for her after making numerous mistakes at work.

Three years later, Baek Hyun-woo and Hong Hae-in’s marriage has come to a standstill due to their incessant arguments and conflicts. Hyun-woo frequently gets into trouble at work because of the differences in their working styles and personalities between him and Hae-in. As the Queens group’s legal director, he is virtuous, follows the rules, and frequently shows empathy for his coworkers. As the group president, Hyun-woo, on the other hand, is a no-nonsense go-getter who will stop at nothing to do her work, even if it makes her appear cold and calculated. Furthermore, despite their best efforts to seem otherwise, everyone in their immediate vicinity—from their family to their coworkers—can see that everything is not right between them.

The much-awaited K-drama “Queen of Tears” debuted with its first two episodes on March 9 and 10. The remaining 16 episodes of the series will air every two weeks. The immensely acclaimed Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun, who starred in the beloved K-dramas “It’s Okay to Not be Okay” and “Crash Landing on You,” is making a comeback to the series after a three-year break. With all the makings of a romantic K-drama mixed in, the series is off to a good start based on the first two episodes.

The programs are well over an hour long, with plenty of humor, romance, envy, family politics, and drama to keep viewers interested. The series features multiple tunes that are played at the same time and are dedicated to various family members as well as Hyun-woo’s family in his hometown. Even while the humor, squabbling, and romance that accompany Hae-in and Hyun-woo’s relationship dynamics have an emotional appeal, not every off-shoot song connects with listeners. However, everything comes together nicely to demonstrate how this well-known couple views their marriage as public. Their every action is scrutinized and observed because it is highly visible to the public. Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, the actors, flawlessly embody their roles.
