Review

The dynamic team of Parvati Sehgal and Ravi Verma, who balance their family obligations with the perilous seas of espionage, is presented to viewers in Adrishyam: The Invisible Heroes. In their parts, Eijaz Khan and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya excel as agents who must carry the weight of secrecy and live in constant fear of being discovered.

The first part of the show explores Ravi and Parvati’s personal lives, providing insights into the difficulties they have in upholding their secret identities. Shilpa (Shriya Jha), Ravi’s wife, starts to have suspicions about his strange disappearance, and Parvati raises her daughter Khushi (Zara Khan) as a single parent while her husband is away.

‘Adrishyam: The Invisible Heroes’ has an alluring plot, but it falls short of carrying out the terrifying plotline. Agent Begum, the primary antagonist, is introduced in a shallow manner that lacks the depth and impact necessary to hold viewers’ attention. The thrills and suspense in the action scenes are largely lacking since director Anshuman Kishore Singh is unable to create a sense of enthusiasm in them.

Nevertheless, despite these flaws, Tripathi and Khan excel, giving their characters nuance and realism. While Khan and Jha’s on-screen chemistry gives their connection an extra degree of authenticity, Tripathi’s portrayal of a strong single father strikes a chord with viewers.

The success of the series will depend on how well writer Anshuman Sinha can weave in new plot points and compelling narratives as it goes along.

The espionage genre promises exciting story developments and gripping narrative twists, so perhaps, future chapters will live up to the hype. With only two episodes accessible so far, viewer patience may be tested as episodes are released regularly.
