The family drama Manamey, starring Krithi Shetty and Sharwanand, opened in theaters today to a respectable amount of buzz. Read the review to find out how the movie is.

Story

In an unexpected turn of events, Kushi’s intervention binds Subhadra—who was on the point of marriage—and carefree playboy Vikram together. Were they able to fulfill their obligations to Kushi? How are Kushi’s parents doing? And is there a stronger bond between the child’s family and the caregivers? The movie’s story will reveal the solutions for you.

Positive Points in Manamey Movie

Sharwanand has a very cool vibe, and people remember him for his happy disposition and flawless comedic timing. His flirty speech and playboy antics make people laugh heartily. The pleasure of their scenes together is enhanced by Krithi Shetty and Sharwanand’s chemistry.

The first performance by Vikram Aditya is charming and has a subtle effect. The background music and score well enhance the mood of the film, while the supporting cast gives good performances.

Minus Points in Manamey Movie

The plot starts intriguingly, but as the intermission approaches, it loses steam and doesn’t have the emotional depth that would have kept the audience interested in the second half.

Even though Vikram Adittya‘s portrayal of Kushi is the main focus, he appears less frequently in the second part of the story. The movie loses emotional impact in the later half as other characters and subplots take focus away from the primary story.

The entire viewing experience is impacted by writer-director Sriram Adittya’s inability to maintain the level of engagement that was evident in the first half. The film’s flaws include its cliched plot and uninteresting conclusion.

To improve story involvement, some characters—like Shiva Kandukuri, Seerat Kapoor, and Mukesh Rishi—should have had more development. Another issue is that there aren’t many powerful emotional situations involving the leads. Although the soundtrack elevates some scenes, the songs don’t leave much of an effect.

Technical Aspects

Both the writer and director, Sriram Adittya, passed up a chance to make the second half as enjoyable as the first. Because of the shallow writing, viewers are left wondering what the main plot point is.

The main songs by Hesham Abdul Wahab don’t stick with you, but his background recordings are excellent and give the tunes some depth. The visually pleasing aesthetics of Gnana Sekhar and Vishnu Sharma’s cinematography are impressive.

There is room for improvement in Prawin Pudi’s editing, especially in the second hour. The CGI work is inconsistent and lacks polish, which makes it fall short of expectations even though the production values are respectable. It is necessary to recognize the creative talents of the costume designers.

Verdict

Overall, Manamey offers a respectable family drama, with Krithi Shetty making an outstanding impression on her part and Sharwanand giving a noteworthy performance. Although some situations are enhanced by the music, the overall impact of the film is undermined by its dull second half and weak emotional depth. Even though Manamey might not appeal to everyone, family audiences could find it entertaining.
