Siem Reap

Siem Reap One of the biggest and most important monuments in the world is located in northern Cambodia. A revered Buddhist temple, Angkor Wat is the focal point of the Angkor Archaeological Park. It is regarded as the entryway to the Angkor ruins. This temple, which is prominently shown on the national flag, is a national symbol and a source of pride for Cambodia.

During the 12th century, King Suryavarman II of the Khmer Empire constructed the city of Angkor, which is home to the Angkor Wat temple. The park is the world’s largest pre-industrial metropolis, spanning an area of about 400 square kilometers. It would be incorrect to view the park as nothing more than an assortment of various temples and monuments. Within the walls of a thriving metropolis, Angkor was a well-established city. The most important of them all was Angkor Wat, which was repeatedly reconstructed by the tastes of several Khmer Empire emperors as well as following empires. The Angkor ruins give you the impression that you’ve entered a parallel dimension where reality is blurred.
