Akira Back

Asian cuisine is redefined by Akira Back at this stunning new restaurant that overlooks the skyline of Bangkok. One of the newest restaurants in the world from award-winning chef Akira Back—who was born in Korea and reared in America—is Akira Back Bangkok at the Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park.

Akira Back is a Michelin Star-rated Japanese fun-dining experience, led by chef Akira Back himself, with dishes like Shitake Croquettes and Yellow Tartare. Every dish at our multiple-award winning restaurant is painstakingly made by our Master Chef using authentic Korean ingredients. Your dining experience will be enhanced if you pair the meal dishes with excellent wines and sake; ask our sommelier for his recommendations.

The View From The Michelin Guide

The menu originated from the travels of Akira Back, a Korean-born, American-raised, former professional snowboarder, who was inspired by a wide range of cultures, including Japanese, Korean, and South American. The elegant decor has an expansive open kitchen, thick-set marble tables, a magnificent cocktail bar, and a softly lighted dining area. The sharing-friendly recipes have unique twists and contemporary touches that are as fresh as a snowboarder’s freshly powdered track.
