Story

During the Project Vajra test, Arjun Dev (Varun Tej), a Wing Commander in the Indian Air Force, loses his friend Kabir (Navdeep). He returns as a test pilot after the project is postponed for a few years. In the meantime, there is a terror assault in Srinagar. The IAF prepares a reprisal after discovering that Pakistan is responsible. How does India respond? How did India benefit from Project Vajra during the attack? What role does Manushi Chhillar’s character Aahna Gill have in the plot? Does Arjun become a martyr or does he come out on top? These answers are given in the film.

Positive Points in Operation Valentine Movie:

Varun Tej is deserving of praise for his audacious filmmaking decisions that have allowed Telugu audiences to witness original storylines. Varun Tej portrays IAF Wing Commander Arjun Dev, also known as Rudra, and he gives a strong performance that perfectly fits the part.

Manushi Chhillar, who is making her stunning Telugu debut as an IAF officer and Arjun Dev’s love interest, is going to be joining him. Manushi Chhillar does a great job portraying her role, giving the best performance she can in a little time.

The team noticed that the second half’s aerial battle scenes are really interesting and do a good job of expressing the spirit of patriotism.

The remaining actors give it their all as well, which helps the movie’s mediocre character portrayal.

Negative Points in Operation Valentine Movie:

As Operation Valentine demonstrates, it can be difficult to convey the essence of real-life events on TV. Although the movie has its moments, certain situations don’t live up to the hype.

The way the terror attack and its aftermath are shown falls short of what may have been an even more heartbreaking approach that would have increased emotional resonance.

There are several opportunities in the early half to showcase the IAF’s strength, but pointless elements like the main leads’ romance encounters taint the film.

It would have been great to make better use of the characters played by Ruhani Sharma, Paresh Pahuja, Shataf Figar, and Ali Reza to arouse the appropriate feelings for this patriotic story.

Movie Technical Aspects:

Operation Valentine is a compelling aerial action thriller, but it might have been much more with a stronger story and a tighter script from director Shakti Pratap Singh Hada.

The audience may have responded more favorably to Sai Madhav Burra’s language, especially in his more compelling patriotic lines. I think Hari K Vedantam’s cinematography is excellent.

Mickey J Meyer does a good job, but there are a few moments in the movie where his wonderful background music could have added something extra.

To improve the rhythm, editor Navin Nooli should have cut a few sequences from the early half. It would have been nice to see proper maintenance of the visual effects, particularly in instances where they were necessary to increase immersion and authenticity.

Movie Verdict:

Operation Valentine is an alright aerial action drama overall, supported by strong performances from Manushi Chhillar and Varun Tej and interesting air strike scenes. Nevertheless, the cons are a monotonous opening segment, superfluous sequences, and a few instances where the required emotional depth is lacking. Operation Valentine may not have the same emotional impact on viewers accustomed to comparable aerial combat dramas, but for others, it provides enjoyable entertainment this weekend.
