The OnePlus 12R is getting a new update in India and other markets. The device debuted in the country last month alongside the OnePlus 12 flagship. The latest firmware update, OxygenOS 14.0.0.307, includes several significant improvements and optimisations. These are intended to improve the overall performance and user experience. Check out the full details.

OnePlus 12R’s new update

  • The OnePlus 12R OxygenOS 14.0.0.307 features improved system stability and performance.
  • The company also provides optimisations aimed at lowering power consumption and increasing battery life.
  • This also broadens the compatibility of Bluetooth connections, ensuring better connectivity to other devices.
  • Network performance is also improving, thanks to improvements in compatibility and stability.
  • For camera enthusiasts, the update enhances camera stability and performance. According to OnePlus, this update will focus specifically on improving indoor photography.

The update is being rolled out in batches to ensure a smooth rollout, and everyone should receive it in the coming days. The company also allows users to provide feedback on the update. Users in India can do this by entering “*#800#” into the Google Dialer app, whereas users in other regions can leave feedback directly on the OnePlus update thread. You can check for an update by going to Settings > Software Update.

Separately, OnePlus announced a full refund for customers who purchased the OnePlus 12R 256GB version. This applies until March 16th. The reason for this is that while the brand initially announced the phone’s faster UFS 4.0 storage, OnePlus President and COO Kinder Liu later clarified that both variants of the phone support UFS 3.1.

This is an error on the part of the company, as UFS 4.0 provides faster app launch times, data access, and the ability to save files to your phone quickly. So, if you bought the OnePlus 12R thinking it had UFS 4.0 storage and are now dissatisfied with the UFS 3.1 clarification, you can request a full refund until March 16th.
