1. Triund

An easy walk in Himachal Pradesh called Triund gives you a chance to retreat into the magnificent Himalayas. At an elevation of 2828 meters, just a short distance from Dharamshala, this location is ideal for walking, with magnificent paths that provide breathtaking views of the entire Kangra Valley. The hike to Triund is easy and quick. You can start from Dharamkot, which is two kilometers ahead of McLeodganj, or from McLeodganj. The hike consists of a 2-kilometer steep ascent from Snowline Cafe to Triund, with the first half of the route being a steadily inclining walk. Triund’s evening sky is a sight to behold and a compelling reason to camp here at night.

The hike begins at Dharamkot’s Galu Temple and takes around 7-8 km to reach Triund. The cool hikes through the oak and rhododendron forests make it well worth the effort. There is another, supposedly more difficult hiking route that passes by Shiva Cafe and Bhagsu Fall. Triund serves as both the starting point and the acclimatization stop for hikers heading up the Dhauladar range to Inderhara Point.

2. Bhagsu Falls

Perhaps the most well-known tourist destination in Dharamshala, the Bhagsu Waterfall draws visitors looking to enjoy the wonders of nature and unwind for a while. The Bhagsunag Waterfall is a great place to go on a picnic with loved ones and is situated on the main route that links Mcleodganj and Dharamshala. The well-known Bhagsunath Temple is the main draw here.

The waterfall is located at the foot of the religiously significant Dhauladhar Valley. The stream also flows through the well-known Bhagsunath Temple before plummeting to the ground. During the monsoon season, when the water falls from a height of about 30 feet and seems fascinating and stunningly beautiful, the Bhagsu Fall reaches the pinnacle of its beauty and majesty.

3. Bhagsunag Temple

One of the oldest ancient temples, Bhagsunag Temple is situated approximately 3 km from Mcleodganj and is surrounded by beautiful ponds and lush flora. The Hindu and Gorkha communities in the area hold great regard for the temple, also referred to as Bhagsunath Temple. The two lakes around the temple are thought to be holy and to possess extraordinary healing properties.

Additionally, the magnificent shrine is encircled by popular tourist destinations including Kotwali Bazaar and Dal Lake. 4. Namgyal Monastery

The greatest Tibetan temple outside of Tibet, Namgyal Monastery in Mcleodganj, is thought to be the residence of the Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama. Because it is the 14th Dalai Lama’s monastery, Namgyal Monastery is frequently referred to as “Dalai Lama’s Temple”.

5. Dal Lake

Dal Lake is a small but lovely lake that is situated at a height of 1,775 meters above sea level close to the village of Tota Rani in the Kangra district of Mcleodganj in Himachal Pradesh. The lake, which gets its name from the stunning and well-known Dal Lake in Srinagar, is encircled by craggy mountains and enormous deodar trees.
