Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex review

In a market where common perception – and even optics – could point to true wireless headphones, there are still some buyers who prefer traditional headphones. Maybe that’s why almost every brand has several offers for headphones. Jabra’s approach was slightly different, focusing on gaming and the music experience. The Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex combines the two and is the company’s latest premium headset. In this review, we will cover various aspects of these headphones, including their design, sound quality and the pros and cons that come with them.

DESIGN

The Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex headset has a fairly minimalist design aimed at professionals who require a mix of functionality and style. The over-ear cups are padded with soft artificial leather cushions that provide comfort during long-term use. These headphones also have an adjustable headband to ensure a secure fit on different sized heads. One of the standout features of the design is the foldable headband for easy storage and portability. This feature makes the headphones a convenient choice as they are very easy to carry. The accompanying bag is also quite cleverly designed and fits easily into a backpack without any protrusions. The headphones have an integrated microphone stem that can be easily hidden when not in use. This not only improves the overall aesthetics, but also provides a practical solution for users who need to switch between listening to music and receiving calls. All you have to do is lift the boom arm to activate, and as soon as it’s pushed in, it goes off.

The controls on the headphones are intuitive and easy to use. The right ear has buttons to adjust the volume, manage calls and pause or play music. These controls are responsive and easy to use. However, it’s worth noting that the buttons may feel a bit small for users with larger fingers. The inclusion of a USB adapter for wireless connectivity is a welcome addition that allows users to seamlessly connect to their devices.

QUALITY OF THE CALL, AUDIO OUTPUT

When it comes to sound quality, the Jabra Evolve 65 Flex headphones offer satisfying listening in a variety of scenarios. The headphones produce clear and balanced sound with a focus on sound clarity, which is important for those participating in video conferences and virtual meetings. The headphones have active noise cancellation (ANC), which is nothing new. But Jabra has changed that, as these headphones let you control the amount of noise you filter out. There are low, medium and high settings to choose from which work really well. There’s also Hear Through mode – Jabra’s surround mode – which lets you hear what’s going on around you.

Bass response from these headphones is respectable, offering a subtle rumble without overpowering the overall tone. Michael Jackson’s “They Don’t Care About Us” is a bass-heavy song and sounds pretty good with these headphones. Mids are clear and voices sound crisp and clear, which is crucial for communication. The ringtone has a good tuning and reproduces sound in a clear, detailed manner. Motley Crue’s “Home Sweet Home” captures how good the midrange sounds in headphones. “Like a Rolling Stone” by Bob Dylan shows the separation of vocals and instruments in headphones really nicely. The built-in microphone is a highlight that offers exceptional clarity during calls and video conferencing.Adjust the microphone’s boom arm to achieve a clear speech recording while eliminating unwanted background noise, ensuring optimal positioning.. During calls, these headphones really handle the audio clarity perfectly. This is definitely one of the biggest USPs of the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex. That said, the sound quality of Sony and Bose is definitely a few shades better. But overall, the sound is good for communication and general music listening, so audiophiles may find the lack of advanced features a drawback. The battery life with ANC is almost 23 hours and without it can be a little more than 30 hours. The battery drains much faster when gaming, but still gets 20 hours without ANC and 15 hours with ANC. It takes almost 110 minutes to fully charge the headphones.

VERDICT

For professionals looking for a fashionable and practical audio solution, the Jabra Evolve 65 Flex headphones achieve a mix between design and audio quality. These headphones are suitable for activities like virtual meetings and casual music listening because to their ergonomic design, outstanding microphone clarity, and effective passive noise isolation. The Evolve 65 Flex headphones are a good choice for professionals that value comfort and communication more than high-quality audio output.
